Sporting Spice on Hand at Big Summer Tournament

Cricket and hockey might be seen by many as the national sports of India, but visitors to Swansea's Beach Rugby Wales will see Rasoi Indian Kitchen's logo emblazoned on the shirts this year – since they have been confirmed as the big summer event's main sponsors.

The Rasoi team will be on hand with spicy goodies at the annual crowd-puller, which goes ahead on August the 1st this year, and which has been bringing sporting fun to the sand near Swansea's Civic Centre for a decade now.

Over the years the touch rugby tournament has attracted a host of international players past and present, including Richard Hibbard, Paul James, Arwel Thomas and others and Rasoi's Suki Kullar said he was pleased to add his support.

"Beach Rugby Wales is one of the most enjoyable events in the summer calendar in Swansea and it is a real family affair. We are really looking forward to being there and enjoying the atmosphere."

He adds: "Even if you aren't taking part in the sporting action, cheering on your team can make you work up an appetite, so we will be on hand with tikka wraps and other great food."

36 rugby teams are taking part this year, from all across the UK.
